About us

Established in 2008, the Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Research Group builds on the work and reputation of the former Welsh Enterprise Institute. 

Our research and activities aim to inform enterprise and entrepreneurship policy development and practice among both the business support sector and among entrepreneurs themselves. 

They are underpinned by a commitment to promoting and supporting an interest in responsible, ethical, sustainable, inclusive enterprise and entrepreneurship.

Our research interests fall into several broad areas

• Diversity within enterprise and entrepreneurship with a special focus on women entrepreneurs and female entrepreneurship 
• The role of enterprise and entrepreneurship education in universities in relation to regional development
